Bill and his family have been committed to serving this community since first coming to Bremerton in 1974 while he was working with the Navy to build Subase Bangor. He retired as a Captain in the Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps and from working for a major international design firm in 1995 and has been involved in community service since.
Bill has been active on Kitsap Credit Union and Kitsap Financial Services boards and committees since 1995 and he is currently the Vice Chair of the Credit Union. He has served on the Board of Directors for over eight years, as well as on many other committees.
His involvement in the community, in addition to the Credit Union, includes participating as a Master Gardener with the Washington State University Extension Service, has taught boating courses for the US Power Squadron, and is active in the Bremerton Yacht Club, having served as the Commodore.
Bill has received several awards as a result of his studies of credit unions and has completed continuing education courses in credit union management and operations.
