KCU Employees Donate $34,000 To United Way
The Board of Directors, Management and staff of Kitsap Credit Union are committed to the “People Helping People” philosophy on which credit unions were founded. This philosophy is more than mere words, but action the Credit Union chooses to operate under, as demonstrated by a recent $34,000 donation to the United Way of Kitsap County.

Approximately two-thirds of the 2008 donation was contributed on behalf of its 300 employees through the payroll deduction program. The United Way payroll deduction program is one of the largest fundraisers for the agency, helping to support 36 Kitsap County partner agencies that support children, health and wellness, elderly and the differently abled.

Elliott Gregg, Kitsap Credit Union CEO presented the donation of $34,000 on behalf of its 300 employees. United Way Executive Director David Foote and Board Member Barry Loonman accepted the donation at last month’s board meeting.
