Kitsap Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative that serves and is controlled by members like you. We operate for the purpose of promoting thrift with a fair return on savings, providing credit at reasonable rates on a full array of loans including home and auto, and offering other financial services to our members.
Only member-owners of Kitsap Credit Union may deposit money with the Credit Union, or borrow money from it. We are deeply committed to helping members improve their financial health.
We differ from banks and other financial institutions in that our member accountholders are the owners of the Credit Union. Credit Union policies governing interest rates and other matters are set by a volunteer Board of Directors elected by and from the membership itself.
This democratic one person-one vote system applies regardless of the amount of money a member has invested in the Credit Union. Members also vote on important issues affecting the Credit Union such as last year’s initiative to convert from a federal to a state charter.
We appreciate and thank you for your membership with Kitsap Credit Union. Safe, Sound, and Secure since 1934.
